A Better Home
Our team offers creative home improvement ideas, SunSetter Awnings & Shades, quality installation, and repair services to bring your dream home vision to life.
Aubrey has 30 years of experience working in the trades. He has worked in retail, home and stage design and fabrication in New York City, Seattle and Olympia. He is a published assemblage artist.
Mileen has an associate arts degree in Interior Design from The Art Institute of Seattle, A Bachelor of Arts as well as a Masters in Public Administration from The Evergreen State College. She has 30 years of experience as an artist, and has worked in retail, hospitality and production for most of her life.
Our combined education and work experience amounts to a lifetime of design, creativity and installation. We are both artists that are passionate about attention to detail and creating unique, personalized spaces that reflect our clients personalities. We both relish the gratification of making people truly love the spaces they live in.
Aubrey is a paint expert. He knows everything you ever wanted to know about paint, and more. What kind of paint to use for which application, whether or not you need a primer or base coat, whether or not to sand before application, how many coats it will take to cover and how much paint you will need for the area you want painted. This expertise also applies to stains, varnishes and finishes.
Mileen is a color expert. She has a photographic memory for color and a very keen sense of color matching, and finding colors that compliment and contrast with the decor, depending on what outcome you strive for. She is also a seamstress, so if you can’t find the right pillows or curtains, she can custom make them. Small reupholstery projects will also be considered.
There are a lot of homeowners who need assistance in making choices about how to decorate and improve their home interiors. With all of the choices available in the market these days, it can be overwhelming and anxiety-inducing to make design and color choices you might end up living with long term. We have the knowledge and experience to help people hone in on their personal styles, and manifest them into their homes.
We not only have vision, we also have the skills and experience necessary to bring these dreams to life, in affordable, creative, and sustainable ways.
We are available for Sunsetter Awnings, Handyman Services, and interior design with unique home decor near you in Washington in Tumwater, Olympia, Lacey, Gig Harbor, Tacoma, and the surrounding areas.
